The company has signed a partnership with the Indonesian Medical Association to enable its doctor members to search instantly for association information and services and national guidelines

Bot MD, a Singapore-started company that creates artificial intelligence chat products, has signed a partnership with the Indonesian Medical Association (IDI). IDI is the largest medical association in Southeast Asia, overseeing doctor accreditation and strengthening medical education in Indonesia.

With this, Bot MD will embed its AI Clinical Assistant on IDI’s website. This enables more than 200,000 of its doctor members to search instantly for association information and services, renew their membership, submit feedback, and learn about the national guidelines. The chat assistant is available in Bahasa Indonesia and English.

Bot MD was founded by Gen.T honouree Dorothea Koh and Yanchuan Sim in 2018, and was part of startup accelerator Y Combinator’s Summer batch that year.

Its proprietary AI chat engine can be integrated with hospital and clinic information systems to allow medical practitioners to rapidly search for doctor and patient content. Bot MD can also be integrated with messaging platforms such as WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger and Line to help doctors automate patient workflows.

Since its launch, Bot MD has been used by more than 20,000 doctors and nurses from hospitals and clinics in countries including Singapore, the Philippines and Indonesia.

The company plans to extend its services to more doctors in Southeast Asia through partnerships with other medical associations in the region.
