The Singapore-based venture will use AI to create personalised plans for its clients to live better and longer

Mito Health, a new Singapore-based healthtech startup, has raised about US$1.3 million in an oversubscribed pre-seed round led by Forge Ventures. Angel investors including founders and executives from other major startups such as PatSnap, Singlife, Glints, Shopback and Carousell also participated.

The startup aims to help its members to live better and longer. It will use artificial intelligence to develop personalised health plans based on its members’ diagnostic results and wearable data. It seeks to offer its clients preventative care options beyond their vitamins and regular medical checkups including digital coaching in the areas of diet, exercise, sleep and supplements.

Former Seedly co-founders Kenneth Lou and Chew Tee-Ming, a 2020 Gen.T honouree, started the venture after exiting their finance platform seven years in. They are joined by Joel Kek, who was a tech lead for TraceTogether, the world’s first Bluetooth contact tracing app, at GovTech Singapore; and former surgeon Dr Ryan Ware.

“Personalised, preventative strategies are key to extending lifespan while preserving the physical and cognitive quality of life, and AI will pave the way to the widespread accessibility of bespoke care,” says Dr Ware, who is the chief medical officer at Mito Health.

The startup plans to use the funding for product development and growing its team. It currently has a waitlist for people interested in private beta access on its website.

According to Chew, Mito Health will officially launch in the second quarter of this year.
