Mitsuru Konishi is a respected name in the local dining scene, having cut his teeth at the likes of Tokyo’s L’Atelier de Joël Robuchon and Wagyu Takumi in Hong Kong. At Zest by Konishi, which opened in 2019, he does what he does best, combining French technique with Japanese ingredients and the occasional star ingredient from within Hong Kong’s borders. Seasonality and creativity are apparent throughout, with the dishes on the tasting menu covering all the bases. The extensive wine list, coupled with the stylish interior and terrace, make the restaurant worth a visit.
