This decade-old restaurant draws diners with its stunning views and modern Italian food. Head chef Andrea De Paola creates dishes from various Italian regions with flair. Pastas are superbly handmade; highly recommended is the tagliolini crowned with naturally sweet Alaskan king crab, and brightened with sweet datterini tomatoes. The main course of roasted Te Mana lamb loin is prepared medium, or as requested, and the texture is impressively tender and flavourful. The meat comes crusted with chopped Sicilian pistachios, and offset with ribbons of pickled beetroot and sambuca jus. For dessert, the tiramisu is given a modern spin with creamy mascarpone, Italian chocolate biscuit, espresso jelly and a boozy touch of Diplomatico rum. The wine list, comprising fine wines, comes from all over Italy, and a decent number of wines by the glass are available for tasting. Service staff are knowledgeable and polite, and give good recommendations.
