Restaurant
Yung Kee
A venerable Cantonese dining institution at the heart of Lan Kwai Fong, the barbecue goose and other aptly prepared Chinese delicacies continue to draw in the crowds
Tatler Says
Long a stalwart on Hong Kong’s dining scene, this roast goose specialist had a major HK$60 million renovation in 2021 that lifted it to new heights. The multi-level space offers plush surroundings with fun contemporary flourishes, and the menu has been trimmed and rejigged to showcase the restaurant’s strengths. Erring more towards fine dining tendencies with dishes such as stuffed sea cucumber served on premium crockery, the restaurant’s raison d’être is nevertheless still relevant—there is nothing better than a plate of freshly roasted, lacquered goose, with a bowl of steamed rice.
Signature Dishes
- Charcoal roasted goose
- Smoked premium pork belly with pine nut
- Sea cucumber stuffed with diced garoupa, salted fish and minced pork
Tatler Tip
The ground floor takeaway is a great grab-and-go option for when you’re time poor but want a good feed.
