Wagyumafia

Japanese   |   Wan Chai

The purveyors of what has widely been coined the world’s most expensive gyukatsu sando are coming to Hong Kong

Wagyumafia takes after the omakase format of sushi restaurants, but that’s where the similarities end. There’s the thumping music and shouts of “irrasshai!” reverberating through the darkened space; and who could forget the self-absorbed, totally Instagram-worthy signature move in which the chefs present your next morsel? Indulgence is the operative word here, with the most prized cut (Chateaubriand) from the most prized breed (Ozaki Wagyu beef from Miyazaki) served variously with uni, truffle, caviar, and heapings of gold flakes. The Wagyu katsu sando sums it all up—priced at HK$1,000, it’s so meltingly tender that you’ll love and hate yourself for ordering it.

Signature Dishes

  • Wagyu katsu sando
  • Wagyu steak & uni
  • Steamed Ozaki wagyu beef

Tatler Tip

The premium Experience menu is only available to those with a paid membership to the restaurant, priced annually at HK2,000.
