Trattoria Felino

Italian   |   $ $ $ $   |   Wan Chai, Hong Kong

An easygoing Italian table where handmade pasta and generous plates will keep you coming back for more

Trattoria Felino captures the warmth that defines the best neighbourhood trattorias: rooms filled with conversation, plates built for sharing and cooking that leans into the reassuring pleasures of Italian comfort food. Behind it are Marcello Scognamiglio and Felix de Arriaga, who have shaped the menu around robust flavours, seasonal ingredients and, above all, pasta. Some of the house pastas only appear on select days, so it’s worth checking before you visit. Highlights include the scialatielli with courgette, pecorino and basil and spaghetti with sea urchin, which show the kitchen’s preference for simplicity done properly. The atmosphere follows the same logic: lively but relaxed, with cocktails and easy-drinking wines that encourage diners to linger.

Tatler Tip

On weekends, the restaurant also runs a lively brunch with unlimited starters and free-flow drinks, turning the trattoria into a particularly festive gathering spot.
