The idyllic farm-to-table setting and European cuisine takes you out of Singapore and on a vacation-like retreat
It is possible to forget that you’re in Singapore when you’re dining at The Summerhouse, an idyllic farm-to-table restaurant housed in an elegant black-and-white bungalow. Located in the former Seletar airbase, what’s special about the restaurant is that aside from the main dining area, it also offers three garden domes. These domes act as private rooms for small groups or even couples who want to amp up the romance factor. Choose from seafood options on the menu, such as fresh mud crab and shallot omelette topped with herbs from the restaurant's garden, and the smoked butter-poached snapper fillet, which happens to be its star dish. It is rich in flavour and sourced from a local kelong, making it a must-try item. End the dining experience with a dessert of Balinese chocolate ice cream with vanilla custard and hazelnut cookie.
