Botanico at The Summerhouse

Nestled within an old colonial bungalow in Seletar Aerospace Park, Botanico at The Summerhouse serves contemporary European cuisine with Asian flavour sensibilities. It offers an idyllic dining destination sequestered from the hustle and bustle of city life. The robatayaki skewers, including the yuzu shoyu salmon and king trumpet mushrooms, are excellent starters. The skewers are kept warm atop a miniature Japanese-style grill, so diners can enjoy these at their own pace during the meal. Botanico’s pride and joy, however, is the Inka wood-fired grill on the premises, used to prepare or finish each of its mains. The gindara is a clear standout, composed of wonderfully charred and umami-laden grilled black cod contrasted against a piquant aji verde. To finish, opt for the taro panna cotta—a rich yet light concoction that allows its star ingredient to speak for itself.
