The Pizza Bar on 38th
Perched atop the Mandarin Oriental, Tokyo is an intimate countertop where pizzas are served fresh from the oven, omakase-style
At The Pizza Bar on 38th, executive chef Daniele Cason has distilled pizza-making to its purest form. Eight seats. One counter. A parade of six to eight pizzas, each sliced into eight so every guest gets a piece, an omakase ritual where the pizza comes to you. The dough? Italian organic flour, fermented for 48 hours. The toppings? Mozzarella, basil, anchovies, house-made 'Nduja salami, all the classics, done right. Add appetisers, dessert, and you have a programme that proves something as casual as pizza can be the ultimate luxury.
Tatler Tip
The washrooms on this floor offer some of the most epic views of Tokyo, offering a surprisingly memorable note to the experience.
