The world’s only Krug Room delivers a private fine dining experience, a seasonal menu cooked by the executive chef using premium ingredients and prestigious champagne worthy of a special occasion

Tucked away inside Mandarin Oriental, Krug Room is a private dining concept and the only Krug Room outside of France, where the French champagne house’s finest offerings are paired with executive chef Robin Zavou’s creative cuisine. The entrance is rather hidden—guests are escorted from Mandarin Grill, through a maze of corridors before arriving at the elegant dining room, which can accommodate up to 12 guests. The ambience resembles the intimate surroundings of the famed Orient Express train, from which you can watch chef Robin and his culinary team in action. The seasonal tasting menu features 10 courses and changes quarterly, with highlights at this time of the year being the premium abalone seasoned with togarashi and chawanmushi, which is the kitchen team’s take on the Japanese egg custard dish using top-quality truffles—both are served with a glass of Krug 2006. The sea urchin prepared in a mousse form is another favourite, which is beautifully buttery and pairs wonderfully with the mildly acidic Krug Grande Cuvée 167 Ème Édition. There’s a personal touch with the chef bringing the dishes to the table and enriching the experience with explanations of the ingredients and inspiration. The service is on point with friendly waiting staff on standby throughout the dinner.

Tatler Tip

Make a booking in advance as Krug Room is available on shared basis for small groups and couples on Thursdays and Saturdays only. Bookings for the entire room are accepted on other days.
