Chef Beppe De Vito Takes Food Delivery in Singapore to the Next Level With Online Restaurant, Grammi
The coronavirus pandemic has drastically changed our dining habits. As we’re forced to hunker down at home until the F&B scene goes back to “semi-normal”, gone are the days when we could freely have a meal with friends at our favourite dining spots without social distancing in mind.
To survive this difficult period, the restaurants have had to change their business models by focusing on home deliveries and takeaway menus. Adapting to these challenging times is chef-restaurateur Beppe De Vito of the Il Lido Group, who has launched Grammi, an online restaurant offering hearty Italian-Mediterranean fare inspired by his childhood in Italy. This is the latest addition to his stable of dining concepts including Amò and Michelin-starred Braci, which are also offering delivery services.
The dishes at Grammi are made with top-quality ingredients like truffles, Angus beef, and cured pancetta, but unlike most of Beppe’s dining concepts, these are offered at reasonable prices. Most importantly, these cater to all types of home cooks with ready-to-eat and ready-to-cook meals, as well as pantry staples for those who would like to make their meals from scratch.
For a quick dinner fix, you can go for the ready-to eat signatures including porchetta sandwich with Iberico piglet, apple, Calabrian chilli and smoked cheese; and baked penne with eggplant, basil pesto, scamorza cheese and creamy tomato. But if want to test your cooking skills, the grocery section has the likes of homemade sauces, seasonings, house-cured meats and fresh produce to whip something delicious up in the kitchen. Grammi even offers an extensive range of cocktail kits, wines and beers because, as we all know, an Italian meal isn't complete without tipples. Check out the website here.
