A compact array of European favourites, including several house-made pasta and risotto dishes

Helmed by Naples-born executive chef Armando Aristarco, Tablescape offers a compact menu of European favourites, including several house-made pasta and risotto dishes. The muted and dimly lit dining room sets the tone, coupled with the old-school practices of presenting a bread basket and rolling around a dessert trolley that are executed with a casual air. Before the mains, start with something light such as the scallops, presented raw and bedecked with cucumber, red onion and salmon roe. The mains of Josper-grilled Iberico pork chop and ribeye steak are accompanied by sides of roasted potatoes, broccoli and carrots on black slate plates. The pork chop is juicy and succulent and the steak, which is about half an inch thick, is cooked to your desired doneness. Served in a small castiron pot, the risotto with cauliflower, smoked duck and seared foie gras is suitably al dente and creamy.

Tatler Tip

Look forward to the dessert trolley, which showcases favourites of the day such as cheesecake, chocolate tart, crème brûlée and prosecco jelly with fruit.
