T8 Japanese Cuisine, located inside an unassuming building in Lan Kwai Fong, feels like a hidden gem. With such a cosy space, the ambience feels intimate but bright. The menu is divided into set teppanyaki and ready-to-order sushi, making it easy to just pick out what you fancy. Drinks are heavy on sake but wine is also available. The highlight is seeing your meal being prepared right in front of you—with an array of creations that tread the line between tradition and modernity, it’s easy to see why T8 has demonstrated such staying power in a crowded Japanese culinary landscape.
