Sushiyoshi

The Hong Kong outpost of Sushiyoshi brings the best of the original two-Michelin-starred Osaka restaurant to the city. Expect a top-notch omakase experience with top-notch ingredients and meticulous attention to detail.
The Hong Kong outpost of its Osaka namesake is under the direction of Japanese chef-owner Hiroki Nakanoue who, while not based in Hong Kong, adds his unique expression of omakase to Sushiyoshi’s menu. A lively progression of appetisers, including a signature botan shrimp carpaccio, is followed by traditional Edomae-style sushi before ending with an unconventional, cappuccino-style miso soup. Seasonal ingredients such as hairy crab also make their annual appearance, showcasing the chef’s aptitude for creating omakase with regional produce alongside Japanese traditions.
Tatler Tip
Nakanoue returns to Hong Kong from time to time to host his own omakase menu. Spots fill up rather quickly, so be sure to ask ahead or follow the restaurant’s social media.
