Sommer

Chef Lewis Barker is an artist, and it shows. The whole experience at Sommer is curated to impress, from the moment you walk through the door (if you can find it), until the end of the meal. The door opens up to a dark curved passage that leads into a naturally lit grey-toned dining room adorned with floor-to-ceiling windows. The meal starts with a generous serving of shio kombu butter served with house-baked bread, and every dish that follows after is marked by sophisticated artistry. The meal, well-executed and a treat for the senses, flows smoothly from course to course, with each dish designed to be beautiful and elegant. Through the use of familiar flavours, Barker delivers comfort and solace to diners in a way that is pleasant and not too difficult to understand or accept.
