Sober Company reopened in 2024 after a 15-month hiatus, relocating to the vibrant centre of Shanghai’s nightlife. The largest establishment within the SG Group, founded by celebrated bartender and bar owner Shingo Gokan, it draws inspiration from traditional Japanese dining. The two-floor space offers an immersive journey through cocktail culture, with four distinct areas, Kissa Tea, Izakaya, Sakaba and Tipsy, allowing guests to seamlessly transition between experiences. The bar retains its original playful spirit in its new location, accompanied by a food menu of Japanese-western fusion dishes and bar snacks. Signature cocktails, inspired by Japan’s diverse regions, complete the refined yet dynamic environment.
