Much has been said about the Peking duck and all we can say is, it would be a wasted trip to the Hyatt Regency if you didn’t order it. We recommend the full three courses with the pancakes, lettuce wraps and soup for the full experience. Similarly impressive are Sha Tin 18’s Dongguan offerings, in which the restaurant specialises. The rich, fiery flavours offer a nice boost of umami, so do order at least one dish from the Dongguan menu to go with your usual comfort selection of dim sum, in which the restaurant also excels. Make sure you save room for the creative desserts, too.

Tatler Tip

The restaurant has an inventive dessert menu that features western-style dishes with Chinese ingredients, such as pomelo chocolate madeleine with jasmine tea custard sauce, or red date clafoutis with oolong tea ice cream.
