Scilla

Melding the warmth of Italian home cooking with a hint of Chinese flair, Scilla invites diners to bask in the charm of the Mediterranean, all set against the elegant backdrop of a 1930s Shanghai garden
Inspired by the traditions of Italian home cooking, but integrating Chinese elements in a refined manner, Scilla brings the Mediterranean lifestyle to a 1930s Shanghai-style garden house. The setting, a beautifully restored villa on Panyu Lu, enhances the restaurant’s charm, creating an atmosphere of elegance and relaxation. Tableside service adds to the theatricality of the dining experience. Executive chef Stefano Bacchelli delivers a vibrant menu, which includes highlights like pasta paired with Yunnan porcini, abalone in kombu papillote, and beautifully barbecued spot prawns. The restaurant’s visual identity is elevated by custom-made dinner plates from Puglia, bringing a slice of the Mediterranean directly to the table.
