Restaurant
Rhoda
The highly-anticipated Rhoda exceeds expectations with an interior and menu both well-executed
Tatler Says
For those in the yet to be fully gentrified Shek Tong Tsui neighbourhood, Rhoda provides a glimpse of what it could look like once cool, hip restaurants start moving further west. It is opened by restaurant group JIA (responsible for many other popular hotspots ranging from the artsy enclave Duddell’s, to the more casual 22 Ships and Chachawan); and like the majority of their restaurants, Rhoda has invested heavily on its interior design. The front bar and open chef’s counter are the main focal points, as is the man behind the chef’s counter, the requisitely bearded and tattooed Nate Green. He cooks hearty dishes here, with plenty of smoked and roasted meats, the smells of which permeate throughout the open-design restaurant. The concept is casual sharing plates, but make no mistake, the pricing is definitely high-end.
