A cocktail bar that reimagines Asian flavours and focuses on sustainable mixology
Inspired by the Malay term for creation, reka, and the Greek word for the joy of discovery, Eureka, Reka:Bar distils mixology into an art form as well as a science. Since its debut in 2021, the bar has consistently championed the use of local produce and offbeat combinations in a thoughtfully developed drinks programme. In their Domino Effect Menu, which uses the main ingredient in one drink as the garnish for the next, they focus on storytelling and interlinking of flavours whilst maximising sustainability. The standouts from this menu include Dusun, a durian-based drink made with lacto-fermented durian, jackfruit, and homemade chilli padi gin that brings out the citrus notes of the vegetable. The Liquid Ambra is a reimagined kedondong juice in a savoury and refreshing concoction.
