Restaurant
New Punjab Club
Authentic post-colonial Punjabi flavours, lush décor and truly unrivalled service meet at this passion project of Black Sheep Restaurants’ Syed Asim Hussain
Tatler Says
Deep leather banquettes, curated Pakistani art and a well-stocked gin trolley transports you to a posh Punjab grill house of a bygone era. The distilled menu is as detailed as the decor in this cozy restaurant. Helmed by chef Palash Mitra of Gymkhana fame, the seasoned tandoors serve up fired dishes like succulent line-caught cobia and gloriously gargantuan lamb chops. Other dishes shine as well— the pastry shells of their samosa chaat are the lightest in town, while the unctuous bade ka gosht— featuring tender Tajima oxtail braised with black cardamom—has bone marrow laced in a rich sauce that will brighten any day, or late night.
Signature Dishes
- Samosa chaat
- Masalewali hanp
- Keema pau
Tatler Tip
The boldly eager and playful Black Sheep service gets people returning in droves, so book early or go for lunch where most dinner items are also on the menu.
