Some of the reasons why diners have this place on speed dial: the Cantonese cuisine is done in a creative, modern but not unfamiliar way and their supper menu from 10.30pm guarantees a pleasant meal after dinner hours. But given the backdrop of Covid-19, Mitzo no longer has a supper service and so, be sure to place your orders by 9pm. You’ll still get your Mitzo favourites though, and most of these are served small-plates-style for sharing. Standouts are the roasted coffee pork neck served with crispy tofu skin and wrapped in Chinese pancakes (pre-orders are highly recommended as this aromatic coffee-infused dish is popular), as well as the black truffle roast duck. If there is room for dessert, get the chilled avocado milkshake which is more multifaceted than it sounds. The dessert-drink hybrid comes with rum and raisin ice cream, and a golden dumpling that cocoons a dark chocolate truffle liqueur.
