Mercedes Me

Permanently closed   |   Central

This unusual dining concept in a Mercedes-Benz showroom delivers balanced, creative fare with nods to its founding nation amidst contemporary cool interiors

It’s an unusual concept—a restaurant in a Mercedes-Benz showroom. But somehow Mercedes Me works, particularly in its new location, a
few doors down Queen’s Road Central from its previous setting. It’s brighter and more open here – just make sure to head upstairs where diners are less exposed and large ‘M’ motifs emblazoned on concrete walls achieve a contemporary cool. Here, too, a warm welcome awaits from staff knowledgeable of both food and wine offerings. The advice
is to choose three to four small plates and one large if sharing, leaving room for dessert. Flavours and textures have been carefully considered throughout and dishes take inspiration from around the world, ranging from Germany, in the spirit of the brand (there’s a good selection of German wine, too), to Asia, and all are well-executed, just often not served at optimal temperatures – disappointing considering the proximity of the open kitchen.

Tatler Tip

Mercedes Me’s set lunch is popular and breakfast is also an attractive option, but happy hour is perhaps best for value and atmosphere.
