Masalaa Bar
A classic twist in Indian street food
Veteran chef Milind Sovani leaps playfully from fine dining to “fun dining” when he curated the menu for this establishment. He takes classic Indian street food, gives it a surprising twist and offers it to eager diners at reasonable prices. Start the meal with crowd favourite vada pao sliders, which are actually enticing mini spiced potato patties in small, soft bread buns topped with a spiced crumble. Great with beer. However, the khau galli kheema pao hits the spot with herbed and spiced aromatic minced lamb stuffed into soft buns. For mains, the tandoori smoked salmon is excellent. The restaurant is spot-on with the flavours, but there’s room for improvement when it comes to the service.
