Little Bao

Little Bao, the brainchild of Asia’s Best Female Chef of 2017, May Chow, is a hipster haven known for putting a fun spin on classic Hong Kong buns. Think fusion dishes such as pork belly bao and fried chicken bao. Yummy!
Despite a brief hiatus from the Soho area, this lilliputian bar-seating-only spot runs like a well-oiled machine, churning out perfectly steamed baos that sandwich flavour-packed morsels ranging from the classic beef patty and pork belly to vegan tempeh and green tea ice-cream (the latter in a deep-fried bao). Don’t sleep on the non-bao offerings, though—the Caesar salad, fried local chicken and Taiwanese-style lurou scotch egg are winners too. The drinks list is fun and diverse, just like the crowd it draws, with a clear Asian thread—be it mango mocktails or local lagers.
