Le Bon Funk is a great restaurant option, no matter what the occasion is. It’s a pleasant place to be—a warm and welcoming vibe permeates the air, friendly and excellent staff are quick to attend to guests, and chef-owner Keirin Buck is ready with his hearty menus. His skill and creativity are evident in the variety of small plates and mains (big enough to share), masterfully crafted from the season’s best bounty. Take, for example, the deceptively simple starter of whole globe artichoke with bursts of earthy, garlicky and zingy flavours from the aioli and vinaigrette. The ever-changing menu is complemented by head sommelier Jos Kjer’s extensive wine list, and is full of delightful surprises.
