Komorebi

Penang, Malaysia

Komorebi—whose name refers to sunlight filtering through trees—offers an intimate omakase experience featuring seasonal ingredients and masterfully prepared dishes, from elegant sashimi to innovative hot plates

In a Japanese Kappo-style restaurant in the heart of Penang, the space itself reflects Japanese minimalist design principles, with natural wood elements and subtle lighting. A dining experience here is a celebration of Japanese gastronomy that brings together traditional techniques, modern innovation, and the philosophy of finding beauty in simplicity.

TATLER TIP

Komorebi’s dedication to an interactive dining experience encourages guests to engage with the chef throughout the meal. A personalised approach to your dining experience is welcome; discuss your flavour preferences with the team to tailor the meal perfectly to your liking.
