The chef Jerome Cartailler takes diners on a month-long gastronomic adventure as Oakroom’s The World of Burgers returns in the buffet ateliers of Oakroom.
A parade of the juiciest burgers representing various countries takes the spotlight at the Oakroom restaurant of Oakwood Premier Joy-Nostalg Centre. Having tempting toppings, garnishes, and sauces, the burger favourites from classic to flamed will bring joy to diners and guests this August.
In celebration with the International Hamburger Festival that occurs every August and greatly observed in the USA, Oakroom once again fills its ateliers with hamburger varieties from Europe, Asia, and the Americas.
The gastronomic voyage begins with the American Classic Double Double: a double-decked burger with crisp smoked bacon, forest ham, Swiss cheese, and onion rings on a sesame bun. A little travel down south and the Mexican burger awaits with its smoked cheddar, jalapeños, sour cream and chilli in flour tortilla toppings. Meanwhile, its Spanish counterpart is deliciously adorned with Pimiento sauce, Manchego cheese, and topped with chorizo slices.
Continue the European tour with the French burger that is pan-fried and the Cognac-flamed burger with melted Camembert on a grilled broche bun with decadent truffle-fried potatoes. The British burger, on the other hand, is a wondrous fare of crisp-fried fish fillet artfully decorated with shredded lettuce and lime mayo.
The tour becomes healthier with herbs and spices like the Italian with Parmesan cheese, tomato sauce, and melted mozzarella; Mediterranean with grilled lamb kofta and Kalamata marmalade; and the Caribbean with its grilled pineapples and mango ginger relish.
The burger trip around the world offers many more varieties that diners should look for and served with Country French fries. It will be available from July 21 until August 30, 11 AM to 11 PM.
