For those who can't get enough of Japanese-Peruvian Restaurant, Nikkei, we have some good news for you!

Since the first Nikkei opened in Makati’s Legazpi Village, the restaurant has introduced us to the delicious convergence of culinary cultures. Through Peru’s Japanese immigrants, “Nikkei” cuisine emerged with new flavours now celebrated across the world. Some of these dishes are now classics at Nikkei, from the causas (or potato bites topped with savory staples) to delicately sliced tiraditos, or sashimi prepared with a piquant Peruvian touch. As our tongues have discovered, when food travels, fresh tastes can be found.

This movement continues as Nikkei opens its second restaurant in One Rockwell on September 1. Amid sedate minimalist interiors, vibrant stories are told on the plate, including a cleverly conceived menu of new drinks and dishes. Light, bracing bites such as a grilled ceviche or foie gras nigiri sushi are perfectly paired with refreshing sips such as the Pisco Sour or a Sake Sangria. With an intimate bar area for those who would rather meet for drinks (and some tasty snacks), Nikkei One Rockwell is also the perfect after-hours spot. New connections made while crossing culinary cultures—now that’s definitely worth a toast.

Nikkei’s new branch is located at Ground Level – One Rockwell, Rockwell Drive, Makati
