The branch of Yabu in Glorietta 5 exclusively serves cocktails curated by Erwan Heussaff.
Yabu the house of the relished katsu at its branch in Glorietta 5, has collaborated with the crafter behind Niner Ichi Nana’s bespoke bar, Erwan Heussaff for its artisanal cocktails. The zen-inspired restaurant introduces diners the concept of enjoying the deep-fried breaded pork cutlets together with a special cocktail drink aside from Japanese and local beer.
Erwan concocted seven cocktails inspired by the well-known Japanese bartender and cocktail designer Takayuki Suzuki, who combines both classicism and innovation. Each cocktail has only four to six ingredients and is curated to have a distinct Japanese flavour.

Honshea is a sake drink with lemon for a zesty taste.

Highball is a Japanese whiskey drink made with angostura bitters for added flavour.

Kyohime is a shochu drink prepared with lime and mint for a refreshing finish.

Jasmine Blossom is a shochu drink crafted with wasabi syrup and a wasabi paste garnish for a bold and piquant taste.

Yuzu Sour is a shochu drink created with egg white and yuzu juice for a a dense aromatic texture.

Chie is a sake drink prepared with egg white and fruit juice for for a complete luscious quality.

Yabu’s Kick is the signature Japanese whisky drink crafted with cayenne and orgeat for a sweet and spicy savour.
Erwan infuses the Japanese principles of simple yet tasteful creations, not unlike Yabu’s way of serving katsu, in crafting the cocktails. The combination of the two provides guests a relaxed and gratifying dining experience.
