The weekly lunch buffet that starts from 12 noon and closes at 2:30 PM presents one Asian country’s cuisine a day—Korea on Mondays, Vietnam on Tuesdays, The Philippines on Wednesdays, Thailand on Thursdays, Singapore on Fridays, China on Saturdays, and the Philippines again on Sundays. Besides being savoury, the Curry Fish Fillet, Peking Style Fried Chicken, Char Siu Pork, Crispy Pork Belly, Bulgogi, also have that Asian spice that was toned down for the Filipino tongue and still very much present to tingle the palate.
Having the reputation of being visited every day mostly by business expatriates and by Filipino families on weekends, the Pan-Asian Buffet of Restaurant 5 serves as an alternative passport to Asian countries, enabling people to enjoy the foreign taste that is close to Filipino hearts. Chef Chikiamko’s Hainanese Chicken Rice was irresistible and flavourful—very suitable to the buffet, Asia being the cradle of rice in the world.
At only 895+ pesos per person, the Pan-Asian lunch buffet is a delectable treat especially when it is consumed with a sumptuous bowl of Pinakbet with Bagnet—very tasty with tolerable saltiness that hypes up when a piece of crunchy Bagnet gets into the mouth. Make sure to reserve some space in your stomach for the tropical fruits prominent in Asia that make out the dessert station together with mouthfuls of sweet corn pudding, caramel cake, and coconut pancakes.
