Wolfgang's Steakhouse (Central Hong Kong)
Central’s newest American steakhouse serves up generous portions of classics with style
Service is exceptional from the moment guests enter the restaurant. The front-of-house team operates with clockwork precision, offering a warmth that immediately sets the tone. Well-versed in both the menu and wine list, the staff provide recommendations with effortless ease. The lighting and ambience are warm and welcoming, complemented by the rich, inviting aroma of the kitchen—an unavoidable and mouth-watering side effect of the signature sizzling steaks. The cuisine is expertly executed and intentionally restrained in its seasoning, allowing the natural quality of the ingredients to shine while giving diners the freedom to season to their preference. Highlights include the tuna tartare, which serves as a light and refreshing starter, and the lobster bisque—a perfectly seasoned “umami bomb”. For the main event, the Porterhouse steak for two is best ordered medium-rare; it arrives on an intensely hot plate and continues to cook slightly at the table, ensuring every slice is enjoyed at its peak. Thoughtful gestures define the experience; upon learning of a guest’s birthday, the server proactively initiates a complimentary dessert. While there is no formal sommelier on duty, the staff handle wine service with the grace and confidence of seasoned professionals.
