The location within Galaxy Macau is open and welcoming, with helpful staff who serve each customer with a smile. While much of the food is packaged and stored in the chillers, ready for a speedy takeaway, the flavour combinations are varied and change with the seasons—a watermelon and pumpkin salad had an intriguing addition of crumbled salted duck egg in place of the more traditional feta, and it was an unexpected pairing that went surprisingly well. Other items such as the hand pies are served hot; the beef and curry version is a comforting option, with buttery, flaky pastry and not-too-gloopy filling. Don’t miss the Hong Kong milk tea Berliner, which is exclusive to the market here. While it may not be a place to linger, you can always bring home a taste of D&D with their range of sweets, teas and gifts.
