With high ceilings, tasteful artwork and sleek, warm, wooden decor, Fumi would be a haven of calm above LKF’s bustle if it weren’t for its intrusive pop playlist. The set dinner is a refined journey of flavour and texture— even if some courses lack wow factor, the calibre of the produce is unmistakable. Sashimi and tempura courses are precisely executed and beautifully presented; the Miyazaki beef is sublime. With omakase, crab brunch and an all-you-can-eat buffet too, Fumi’s trying to be everything to everyone. It just about pulls it off.
