Modern Shanghai has selected some gratifying dishes for gourmets this winter
Seasonality is one of the key facets of Chinese cuisine, and Modern Shanghai is proud to present new chef’s recommendations for winter featuring some heart-warming dishes. Braised fish maw and pork knuckle in chicken consommé is mild and good to be shared with family members this winter. Aside from this, the soup is full of collagen thanks to the soft fish maw and tender pork knuckle. Sautéed glass noodles with hairy crab roe and shredded shrimp in casserole is another choice for crab lovers to enjoy the richness of hairy crab roe. Dim sum lovers should not miss the Jiangnan-style barbecued pork and scallion pastry. The sweetness of barbecued pork and the spiciness of scallion is a surprising match.
Other new dishes include braised lamb brisket with fresh bamboo shoots and mushrooms in casserole; Zhejiang-style braised chicken with abalone; steamed threadfin with preserved vegetables and shredded pork; braised pork intestine with mustard green; pea sprouts topped with shrimp roe, mushrooms and bamboo shoots; and wok-fried prawn and glutinous rice cakes in soy sauce.
The new Shanghainese signature dishes are available from now until the end of February 2021.
