The Japanese fine dining establishment at Hotel Okura Macau presents a taste from Japan’s old capital with Kaiseki offerings

Yamazato of Macau’s Hotel Okura is extending its Kyoto Cuisine showcase this month. Presenting various kaiseki set menus throughout the promotion, the esteemed Japanese restaurant is offering a number of signatures unique to Kyoto’s cuisine, including the  “Hassun”, a dish fusing elements from both land and sea, presented on a an artistic china plate exotic leaves and edible flowers. From now until October 22, guests can sample a taste of Kyoto’s cuisine with the set lunch menu which includes appetisers such as Hishigani crab and rikyu-fu with egg yolk and vinegar as appetisers, soup of pike conger and tiger shrimp served in Dobin teapot, selection of sashimi of flatfish, as well as Kyoto Yamashina aubergine with white miso served with grilled Bungo beef and dessert. The exclusive lunch set is priced at MOP 580 per person.

Alternatively, the Kyoto Kaiseki dinner set includes a wider range of Japanese delicacies, from the above courses, as well as the special Hassun dish that features seven types of Japanese delights, as well as grilled wagyu beef as mains, with soba noodles with Karasumi and desserts as well. The limited edition Kyoto Kaiseki dinner set is priced at MOP 1,580 per person.
