Venetian Affair at 208

Venice is well-known as a city of love and romance: it is the birthplace, after all, of legendary womaniser Casanova. If you want to follow in his footsteps and sweep your lady off her feet, you could do worse than stop in at 208 on Hollywood Road on Valentine's Day. For a week from February 14 to 19, chef Vinny Lauria has prepared a Venetian-inspired menu for the Valentines. The Venetian specialities include:

- Carpaccio alla Cipriani – traditional Venetian salad with blood orange

- Trifolati polenta – creamy cornmeal with truffle-style mushroom and mascarpone

- Anatra e fegato – Venetian-styled foie gras and duck breast

- Fichi caramellato – vanilla zabaglione with caramelised figs
