‘Donut’ miss out on the opening of renowned Canadian coffeehouse Tim Hortons—set to arrive in Malaysia this August

The multinational fast food restaurant chain Tim Hortons has finally made its way to Malaysian shores. Best known for its signature coffee brewed from 100 per cent premium Arabica Beans and its wide selection of delectable baked goods, Malaysia will be the newest and eighth country in Asia to welcome this beloved coffee brand.

Founded in 1964 by the late Canadian hockey player Tim Horton, the brand initially focused entirely on coffee and doughnuts but eventually expanded its menu as it gained popularity. In 1984, Tim Hortons expanded its locations beyond Canadian borders, with its first American store in Tonawanda, New York, just close enough for Canadians to make cross-border coffee runs.
