Taste Studio - the signature theatrical dining event of Regent Phu Quoc is officially returning in November with the theme “A Spectrum Of Contrasts”
A distinctive hallmark of the Regent Hotels & Resorts brand, this year’s Taste Studio at Regent Phu Quoc unveils a refined journey through the delicate opposites of taste and emotion. Designed as a sophisticated multisensory adventure, the event intertwines flavors with visual art, dance, music, and Vietnamese culture. This experience not only satisfies the palate but also unfolds into an unforgettable night of culinary performance.
Throughout the evening, a dialogue between culinary talents and artistic visionaries gradually reveals itself, shifting conventions and transforming the atmosphere. By exploring the theme of contrast through various expressive forms, “Spectrum of Contrasts” unfolds across moments of stillness and reflection. Like a meditation on the connection between humankind and the universe, each chapter and its accompanying dish illustrate a vivid portrait of the pearl island - where opposing elements come alive in harmony. These contrasts reflect a state of balanced coexistence, where opposites complement each other, embodying the core values that shape Vietnamese identity. Through music, dance, gastronomy, and performance art, a captivating multisensory journey awaits discovery.

As evening falls and the performance begins, guests are immersed in a mesmerizing transformation. Light contrasts darkness, flavor harmonizes with sensation, and movement merges with stillness in perfect equilibrium, vividly illustrating the philosophy of Yin and Yang through the lens of culinary and performing arts. Colors, ingredients, and flavors are delicately orchestrated with visual artistic acts, opening up an inspiring spectrum of contrast. Each dish, crafted by the culinary talents at Regent Phu Quoc, is an arrangement of color, aroma, and taste, evoking the tranquil harmony embedded in Vietnam's cultural heritage. The rhythm of the stage, amplified by artistic lighting, elevates the flavors, guiding guests to an emotional peak where they become the very soul of a magical experiential journey.
At the heart of Taste Studio are key moments of dialogue between cuisine, visual art, dance, music, and fine arts, featuring a creative team that includes AC3 Studio (Paris); choreographer Sabra Johnson, the winner of “So You Think You Can Dance” (USA); Francesco Andreoni, Executive Chef, alongside Regent Phu Quoc’s culinary talents; and renowned Vietnamese artists Truc Chi and the band Limebócx.
The program will take place on November 28, 29, and 30, starting at 6:00 PM. The evening opens with a welcome cocktail reception and concludes with a finale performance followed by an intimate gathering with the artists and culinary team behind “Spectrum of Contrasts”.
