The new restaurant that specializes in Japanese temaki rolls is set to open in Sheung Wan

After a recent expansion of Pici to Lai Chi Kok, Pirata Group is back to Hong Kong Island with TMK, a Japanese restaurant specializing in temaki, or Japanese sushi hand-rolls. The new temakeria is set to take over a two-storey restaurant space in Sheung Wan come July 2019.

Inspired by the punk-rock culture, TMK features an urban interior design with resemblance of a dive bar, embellished with vibrant colours throughout the two-storey space. Taking the helm of the kitchen are executive chef Miguel Huelamo and Japanese head chef Takeshi Suzuki. Together the duo will showcase a refreshing take on traditional Japanese dishes, from sashimi to freshly-rolled temaki rolls filled with king crab and Hokkaido sea urchin, best paired with generous pours of sake and cocktails.

TMK is set to open mid-July, 2019.
