Chef Nancy Silverton's Californian-Italian restaurant Osteria Mozza relocates to Ion Orchard this August, bringing a new Roman-style pizza, soft serve ice cream, and a more social atmosphere to one of Singapore's most prominent addresses

The celebrated Osteria Mozza is moving. Chef Nancy Silverton’s Californian-Italian restaurant—her only Asian outpost—is set to reopen at Ion Orchard by the end of August 2026. The new space is larger, the atmosphere is said to be more social and convivial, and the menu has been thoughtfully expanded.

According to Silverton, whose cooking has always focused on seasonality and quality ingredients, the move is a natural evolution.

“Singapore has always been an important market for us,” Silverton says. “My food is always evolving, and this new space gives us the chance to celebrate that evolution while staying true to the foundation of what makes us Mozza.”

A new kitchen naturally invites new menu developments. Alongside Osteria Mozza’s signature handmade pastas and the celebrated mozzarella bar, the Ion Orchard menu will introduce Pizza alla Pala—a style of pizza previously unavailable at the Singapore outpost.

Unlike the traditional round pies, this Roman-style variation is characterized by its long, oval shape. Baked to be light and airy, it is served on a rustic wooden paddle and topped with classic Osteria Mozza flavour combinations, such as fennel sausage with panna, mozzarella, red onion, and scallions.

To finish, the menu will also feature Silverton’s new soft serve ice cream, an addition that feels entirely in keeping with the restaurant's breezy, Californian approach to Italian dining.

The next chapter

The timing of the move coincides with a major milestone for Silverton, who was recently honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the 2026 James Beard Foundation awards. As her only Asian outpost, the Singapore restaurant remains a key part of her global portfolio.

As for what will occupy the soon-to-be-vacant space at the Hilton Singapore Orchard, discussions are currently underway, with details to be shared in due course. For now, diners have until July 31 to experience Osteria Mozza in its current home before it begins its next chapter on Level 3 of Ion Orchard.
