3. Cherry Garden

We’re pretty sure mum won't mind being whisked away to Cherry Garden for a taste of its glorious dim sum brunch on May 8 and 9. The extensive menu has your usual suspects of steamed pork xiao long bao, steamed kurobuta char siew bao, and work-fried radish cake with XO sauce. Take note: these are only the start of an indulgent meal that also has a wide selection of noodles, rice and meaty mains. Proceed to the heavier dishes after these small bites; the stir-fried mee sua noodles is redolent with 'wok hei' and topped with egg, vegetables and Chinese chives, while the beef brisket stew has been slow-cooked until fork-tender and mixed with chunks of turnip.
