The fine dining Chinese restaurant atop One Peking Road is to present a series of dishes inspired by the ancient Qing dynasty
From now until September 2013, Hutong at One Peking Road will be presenting a nostalgic-tinged menu based on the ancient culinary traditions of the Qing dynasty’s capital of Beijing. The menu is modelled after traditional food markets, with dishes such as:
- Tang hulu (candied fruits on bamboo skewers)
- Shandong-style “hand-shredded” chicken
- Beijing-style marinated smoked pomfret
- Hand-pulled noodles tossed with seafood and minced pork sauce
Diners will also be greeted with a “Cixi” cocktail inspired by the last dowager empress of China, which uses fen chiew Chinese liquor, chrysanthemum tea and fresh chrysanthemum.
