Date By Tate And Koffee Mameya To Pair Fine Pastries With Competition-Grade Coffee
Tate Dining Room's street-level boutique space, Date by Tate, is heading across the harbour to link up with Koffee Mameya at K11 Musea for a collaborative pairing experience involving head pastry chef Graf Kwok's bijou pastries and a selection of Koffee Mameya's 25 seasonal roasts. The pairing brings together three "kube" pastries and three light to dark roasts: a Japanese chestnut cake infused with local honey is matched with Honduras El Puenta Geisha from Ditta Artigianale in Florence; a curry and dry fruits financier with the medium-roast Ethiopia Raspberry Candy from Melbourne's Ona Coffee; and lastly, an indulgent chocolate and black truffle pound cake with the punchy Guariroba Natural from Tokyo's Philocoffea. Combining Kwok's Michelin-starred desserts and Koffee Mameya's exacting coffee-making process, this is one experience worth making a detour for.
