Chef-owner Peggy Chan delights with junk trip catering options, new menu offerings and new guest chef lineup

Outdoor activities may not be ideal under the blazing sun, but junk trips are an absolute must for the hottest season of the year. No outing on the water should go without proper food, and Grassroots Pantry is offering a catering option with creative, nutritious bites to feed you on your next trip.

 

Chef-owner Peggy Chan is serving a rich selection of junk trip catering options, including a number of packages designated for large groups, with minimum order of 15 or above. Each package includes starters, mains and sweet treats. For beverages, guests can also select drinks package featuring the restaurant’s own immune booster, organic Mountain Goat steam ale, and also organic sparkling wines, among many. The restaurant has designed a number of packages which should offer something for every junk trip food enthusiast.

Aside from al fresco dining, the vegetarian restaurant in Sheung Wan is also serving its Lazy Summer Days brunch menu every day from 11am to 5pm. The establishment is also offering a new summer a la carte options, including new creations such as

- Smoked carrot blini
- Vietnamese yellow curry
- Lotus root ‘meatball’
- Raw tiramisu

The popular restaurant is also home to the return of The Collective’s Table Series, as chef Neil Tomes and Peter Franklin will collaborate with chef Chan in designing a crossover vegetarian menu this September.
