The healthy eatery's Roll Up Your Sleeves initiative allows you to give meals to frontliners with a RM10 a donation

For several months now, the country's vaccination task force has been tirelessly serving the nation. They have sacrificed so much of their time and energy to help Malaysia achieve its vaccination target.

Agrain wants to express its appreciation to these courageous men and women, and they have been doing so via their charity programme, Agrain For Good.

"We would like to encourage our community to get themselves vaccinated, and donate healthy meals to the vaccination task force," says Alyssa Johann, Agrain's senior marketing specialist. "This is a form of thank you to keep them going in this battle. Anyone can help out and be part of this campaign with us."

Under the Roll Up Your Sleeves initiative,  Agrain For Good is providing food to the Vaccination Task Force at Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC) and the Malaysia International Trade and Exhibition Centre (MITEC), through donations from the public at RM10 per meal. Thus far, it has donated 600 meals and is committed to at least another 1,000 meals until the end of August.

Agrain launched their first charity campaign in April 2020 with 1-for-1 Movement where they donated over 10,000 meal boxes to medical frontliners battling Covid-19. That was followed by this January’s Thumbs Up Movement where 1,020 meal boxes were distributed to policemen, firemen, food delivery riders, and the homeless via a drive-thru at Four Points Kuala Lumpur Chinatown.

These efforts inspired the group to set up the platform Agrain For Good in March this year.

“These meals are wholesome, nutritious warm grain bowls. All of our ingredients are fresh, made from scratch, and contain no preservatives or MSG. The meals are freshly prepared, cooked, and packed by our outlet teams on the day of our donation fulfilment,” says Alyssa.

Roll Up Your Sleeves aims to raise RM25,000 for the vaccination task force by the end of July, while Agrain For Good hopes to raise RM120,000 by December 31, 2021, to aid marginalised communities and underfunded shelters on their panel.

“We humbly believe that, regardless of your background or financial means, everyone deserves to belong—in a community that prioritises health, a community where nobody goes to sleep hungry, a community where basic needs are met and a community that simply, genuinely cares,” Alyssa says.
