The Demon Chef shares with us the plan on expanding his restaurant empire on home turf

After the success of newly relocated Bo Innovation and contemporary Korean establishments Bib and Hops, Alvin Leung is setting his eyes on two new local projects.

Leung’s latest restaurant is Plato 86, a Spanish restaurant in Wan Chai. This new Spanish establishment takes traditional Spanish cuisine and presents it with a contemporary twist in presentation. Located at Brim 28, the Spanish establishment aims to open end of September.

The second new establishment of the ‘Demon Chef’ is a Cantonese restaurant named Forbidden Duck. Taking the restaurant space where Yun Yan formerly resided, this new poultry-themed restaurant takes inspiration from Beijingese staple Peking Duck. Alvin Leung aims to add modern touches to the traditional roasted duck dish which is often associated with Northern Chinese cuisine. Forbidden Duck is set to open this November.
