Currently enchanting audiences until April 27, the spellbinding musical Wicked weaves its unique brand of magic through the theatre. Following the emerald spectacle, The Phantom of the Opera will command the spotlight from May 9. Waku Ghin: an exploration of modern Japanese cuisine

At the one-Michelin-starred Waku Ghin by Tetsuya Wakuda, guests are treated to a refined culinary experience set within striking interiors designed by award-winning Yohei Akao.

While the longstanding restaurant is best known for its Chef’s Table omakase dining experience, Waku Ghin also offers an extensive bar lounge menu that showcases expertly crafted seasonal cocktails from 5pm until closing. On the dining front, the menu also includes the hearty Waku Ghin grilled Wagyu beef set on rice and spaghettini with lobster, tomato, chilli and basil for the post-show crowds eager for something more substantial. The bar also offers the widest selection of Japanese whiskies in Marina Bay Sands.

Mott 32: Modern Chinese by way of Hong Kong

Originating in Hong Kong and inspired by New York’s Chinatown, Mott 32 brings a modern twist to time-honoured Chinese recipes. At the restaurant’s Singapore outpost, its chefs honour this legacy with contemporary techniques and sustainably sourced ingredients. Pre-show, enjoy standout dishes like the signature apple-wood roasted Peking duck and the signature lobster ma po tofu.

The late night cocktail programme, available from 9.30pm onwards is just as inventive, featuring cold tea cocktails inspired by the prohibition era,crafted with smoky teas and Asian elements like Sichuan peppercorn infusions.

Cut by Wolfgang Puck: An elevated steakhouse experience

As Singapore’s only Michelin-starred steakhouse, Cut by Wolfgang Puck offers an unrivalled selection of premium cuts from around the world, including Hokkaido snow beef, Kagoshima Wagyu, and top-grade selections from three continents. For pre-show dining, the daily Early Cuts menu includes a three-course meal that includes starters like steak tartare and crab cake followed by mains like USDA Prime New York Sirloin and filet mignon, paired with sides like creamed spinach and a selection of enticing desserts.

Wakuda: Pre-show cocktails with a Japanese flair

Inspired by the energy of Shinjuku, Wakuda is another must-visit dining destination in Marina Bay Sands started by chef Tetsuya Wakuda and helmed by executive chef Pavel Nigai. The restaurant’s vibrant interior features striking artwork that evokes the late-night buzz of Tokyo’s Golden Gai district.

While modern Japanese cuisine and sushi take centre stage, Wakuda Hour, held daily between 3.30pm and 7pm, highlights the bar’s craft cocktails at accessible prices. Must-tries include the signature Wakuda sling and the sake colada, an exciting twist on the traditional tropical cocktail. For light bites, peruse Wakuda’s creative bar bites menu and try specialties like the squid tempura with curry salt and shiso, or opt for heartier options like the Wagyu sando with wasabi salsa and tonkatsu sauce.
