Named for the tiny hairs on their claws, hairy crabs have long been considered a delicacy in China. These freshwater crustaceans are highly valued as they are in season for a short period every year, between the ninth and eleventh months of the Chinese Lunar calendar.

At Shanghai, Executive Chinese Chef Wong Wing Yeuk and his dedicated team showcase the succulent meat and rich roe of these crabs in a series of elaborate dishes, from steamed Shanghainese Meat Dumplings with Hairy Crab Roe to Steamed Shanghainese Hairy Crab, and many more.

Ranging from RM20-RM160 per dish.

Available until November 30. Advance reservation is required.

Beef lovers should mark their calendars for the last two weeks of October. EQ and Kampachi are bringing a rare Toka Akaushi cow to our shores for the Akaushi Festival, a celebration featuring premium omakase, fine dining and gourmet ala carte menus.

Akaushi cattle are renowned for moderately marbled, finely textured and incredibly tender meat. The Akaushi Festival kicks off with a charity auction, where guests can bid for one kg of this highly valued meat. The rest of the beef will be served across all of EQ’s and Kampachi’s restaurants. Two master chefs from Japan, chefs Takeshi Demizu and Takeki Iwao, will be present to showcase their culinary expertise.
