The new restaurant by renowned chef Angela May aims to charm the ladies with a menu of Asian-inspired dishes that has a focus on vegetables.
A Look Inside

Charm the Ladies… and Gents
The eponymous restaurant, helmed by host and TV presenter Angela May, who trained at Le Cordon Bleu in Sydney, was designed with the ladies in mind. Walking into the restaurant located on the second level of Robinsons The Heeren (which coincidentally is dedicated to ladies fashion), you are first greeted by plates of delightful pastries and adorable macaron tables. Yet, Angela May Food Chapters has proven popular with businessmen and bored husbands, too, who find comfort in its nutritious meals and cups of cold-brew coffee.
Leafy Situation

Salad Days
Vegetables are the focus of the culinary concept here, where hearty meals made from local produce and delicate flavours are favoured. An interesting pick is the shaved asparagus and arugula mint salad, which delivers a mild mustard kick with the deep-fried wasabi lettuce. A wobbly slow-cooked egg atop white beans coated in a Parmesan cheese puree make for a satisfying meal.
Raise the Steak

Hold the Meat
For a healthier alternative to red meats, order the cauliflower steak (yes, you read right). It is nicely charred yet still succulent from spending time in the Josper oven following a full day being sous vide in vinegar. The roasted red pepper puree and coriander and parsley relish served on the side add a more flavourful finish.
Meat and Greet

Pork Out
Boasting similarly mouth-watering flavours is the charred Kurobuta pork collar, which is topped with a fruity salad of pomegranate seeds, pomelo, mint and arugula that melds well with the meat’s natural sweet flavours. It sits on a bed of white bean mash and paired with a rich gravy made from galangal, apple juice, chilli padi and soy sauce, which gives the dish an extra punch.
Pastry Pick

Sweet or Savoury
Chewy choux pastry, with a choice of sweet or savoury filling, is made fresh daily. Don’t leave without trying the cucumber jasmine mint (right), which pairs a light cucumber-infused cream with a sweet mint and meringue cream. Meanwhile, the savoury options are inspired by the dishes on the menu and our favourite is the Josper-grilled vegetables.
